After commencing business as Grange Gaskets in Bradford in 1948 as a small family-run company, Grange quickly established itself as one of the UK's leading specialty gasket manufacturers, offering a range of sealing solutions from small, soft cut gaskets through to large jacketed heat exchanger gaskets.
Based upon Grange's belief in offering competitively priced, high quality products on time and defect-free, the company continued to expand and added new products to its manufacturing range, including spiral-wound gaskets and precision-machined components.
The company's reputation as a high-quality manufacturer of specialty gaskets led to it being acquired by a Houston-based company, Lone Star Fasteners, in 2006. Subsequent investment by Lone Star allowed for a move to large, modern facilities in Leeds, UK.
In early 2007 Lone Star acquired Leeds-based LWD Precision Engineering Ltd (est. 1942), specialists in the manufacture of components used in oil and gas exploration. Combining both Grange and LWD into the same facility created a large, modern manufacturing company able to offer a wide range of products, but one which still holds firm to it's traditional values of high quality and outstanding service.
To back this up, a philosophy of continual investment in modern technology, people and training has developed a vibrant, progressive but experienced management team along with a multi-skilled and dedicated production workforce capable of undertaking the most challenging projects.
